  There is NO reason to market and sell Chicken & Waffles. Mainly because Chicken & Waffles sell themselves!
  
  Just when Nas couldn't get any better, from a Queens native perspective, Mr. half man half amazing goes ahead and embarks his entrepreneurial spirit into an unbeatable food category. DELICIOUS CHICKEN AND WAFFLES.
  
  Sweet Chick has many options and variations of their delicious waffles and fried chicken. I've tried a bunch of them and can't decide a favorite, mainly because they're all so good.
  
  Try them all and you decide.

  Chicken is tasty with s crunchy crust and juicy meat. Mac and cheese is an overpriced fail. We sent it back because it was cold and tasted bad, no flavor and was not cheesy. A small plate for fourteen dollars should be banging but this didn't even come close. The grits on the other hand were delicious. They are creamy and hearty. Waffles are okay.  The chaquillas are a mess. The flavors don't work well together: too many different textures. The dish also came out cold. The place has a chill vibe and the girl who greeted us was very nice but the waiting staff were not enthusiastic or friendly, just not a happy mood all around.

  Had a somewhat subpar visit to Sweet Chick today. Granted, it's Labor Day, and the wait for a table was 35+ minutes. My friend and I waited outside as the rain poured. When our table became available, we were happy to be back indoors.
  
  After glancing over the brunch menu, we both ordered breakfast burritos. It took a long time for them to arrive, but I found mine much to my liking. Eggs, chicken, gravy, etc., in a tortilla, panini-pressed. The side of potatoes was gratuitous; I took most of them to go.
  
  The service was spotty, and also $5 for a 12 oz. Narragansett feels exploitative. That said, I have no quarrel with the food I selected. Also, and totally not their fault, but a baby was screaming for most of my visit. Can't bring myself to give four stars, so three it is.

  I'm a huge fan of the Sweet Chick franchise (not just because I'm hoping one day Nas and I will be there at the same time). Having frequented the Manhattan locations although I live in Queens, I took a quick uber there this past weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to get here around noon on a Saturday and there wasn't a wait. Service was quick and our waitress Valerie was super cool and attentive. The food came out very quickly and tasted good. To my disappointment, there are no flavored waffles during weekend brunch. When I asked why I was told because it would be too difficult on the kitchen staff....Okay....
  That aside, I like the location and would come back, but during a time their options weren't limited.

  Oh man! What can I say?! Coming from someone who isn't the biggest chicken and waffle lover, Sweet Chick blew my mind!
  It's one of the few places that I actually crave every now and then.
  If it wasn't such a hike from where I live, I'd definitely be a regular.
  
  I ordered the chicken n waffles!
  They have a variety of waffle flavors to choose from, but I went with the bacon n cheddar and it did not disappoint!!
  The waffles had chunky pieces of delicious bacon, and they were soft and mouth watering.
  And that fried chicken !...
  OMG!
  it was so crispy and flavorful!! Probably some of the best chicken I've had!
  
  The biscuit was also yummy !!
  Loved trying it with all the different flavors of butter!
  
  I also got to try a bite of the grilled chicken sandwich and wasn't expecting much but dang.. it was so good !! Not your ordinary, boring grilled chicken sandwich!!
  
  Definitely looking forward to my next visit to Sweet Chick.. the spiced pecan waffle is calling my name!
  Their desserts also look amazing so that's on the list as well! ; )
